Sword of Truth - Confessor
Started the 11th and final book in the series today, after finishing Phantoms yesterday. Am currently upto chapter 3.

Last we saw Richard, he was captured by the Order troops and made his way to their main camp where Emperor Jagang was. The Boxes of Orden are in play but Nicci has entered Richard as a new "player" and thus the timer has reset - giving Richard a year to open the correct box.

On the 5th of December 2011, the artist  Darrell K. Sweet passed away.
Over last decade or so, I developed a strong dislike for his work, especially the Wheel of Time Art.  Yet as I look back over his body of work, I realize that it ( his art) drew me to many of the books I’ve enjoyed  over the years. I  hope that the last book in the Wheel of Time series will bear his mark as well.

Am upto chapter 10 and loving it to bits! Am really glad the final book is as riveting as it is.

Richard played his 1st "Game of Life" match in front of Jagang and the intensity of the game was incredibly. He had the brilliant idea to paint their faces red so he wouldn't be recognised - under the guise of making them look more fierce.

Anne McCaffrey, one of the greatest science fiction writers passed away on 21 November 2011.  She more or less single handedly changed the way readers and authors  saw female characters. Anne McCaffrey and Marion Zimmer Bradley paved the way for many of today’s authors.


This reminds me I still need to get my hands on a number of her books

Seems when things were finally looking up for Richard, Jagang was able gain an upper hand again. This time, by capturing Richard's sister.

And thus my Seeker journey comes to an end, after 2+ years. xD Loved the way Terry Goodkind chose to end it! This leaves me eager to watch the two seasons of the live-action again.

Did some Google-ling on the two titles and seems The Law of Nines is a brand new series, so I'll most likely give that one a skip, but The Omen Machine is a must-read for me. xD
