also, the graphic novel Asterios Polyp by David Mazzucchelli - concerns the duality of the self. Read it in one sitting!

Does that mean its really good or just short?

Am upto chapter 41 of Soul of the Fire and man, this has the best writing from the series thus far - introducing a whole new town with gripping intrigue and fantastic characters. Best part are the unique customs invented for the different peeps.

Just finished Temple of the Winds. Was a lot more violent then the prev three, but was done in a really awesome and gripping way. Keen to find out what happens next to the Seeker-gang. :)

Will start the 5th novel in the Seeker series, Soul of the Fire, in a bit.

NeoN, one of the reasons why I don’t like this book (Temple of Winds) is because the guy captured by Kahlan  and Cara  at the beginning  bears my real name.
It’s first time I’ve ever come across it being spelled correctly  The only problem is my name sake turns out to be an idiot and cannon fodder. :-[
I’ve  finished  re reading The Temple of Wind by Terry Goodkind and I must say that  after all this time, the whole sexual aspect to this book still makes me  uncomfortable  was kind of creepy (I’m taking about that scene involving Kahlan and her betrothed )
I think Nathan stole the show with his chapters, especially when he gave “you know who” a back hand  ;D

The new cover of Crossroads of Twilight is one of my least favorites so far. Okay it depicts a critical point in the Blacksmith’s story but I think a scene featuring Mat and The DOM would have been better.

Wow I must Michael Komarck rendition of this amazing  scene  takes my breath away, I just had  to re read chapter  27 “ A Plain Wooden Box
Some people complain the Min looks a little too much  like a “China Doll “

Yeah, really enjoyed his chapters too - no idea what he's gonna do next. ;)

Soul of the Fire
Things are winding down to an epic close, with the bad guyz moving ever closer to their goals. Eager to find out how things play out after all those "weeks" of preparations.

Finished Soul of the Fire this afternoon. Ended on a rather unexpected (and somber, if I may) note. Loved the book to bits, means the next one has a lot to live up to. :P

Started Faith of the Fallen right after, currently two chapters in. Liking the story-telling approach they went with (can't say more as it'll ruin the end of the prev one).

One of the problems I have with Soul of Fire is the fact it starts of with Kahlan nagging and berating Richard for not being attentive to her need and feelings; Richard not realizing that he has three wives and Fitch or Fetch has so much screen time in the book yet
Spoiler (hover to show)
Other than that, the book is not too bad because in Stone of Tears; Blood of the Fold and Temple of the Winds Terry Goodkind used blood, gore violence, sex and nudity to weave the tapestry yet it lacked the genius of the first book (Wizard’s First Rule). Thankfully, in Soul of Fire, we see a glimmer of it, I had goose bumps on my skin
Spoiler (hover to show)
I don't understand why Goodkind keeps using the following formula  ad nauseam ; Kahlan and Richard share a close and intimate bond. Suddenly a few chapters into the book someone/something would separate them, placing them on opposite ends of the earth. The rest of the book would then be about the one trying to find the other one, finally in the end when they do meet they’ll have proven that true love conquers/overcomes all.

@ Neon, the best/greatest female character of the series   is featured in Faith of the Fallen, there's just much more depth to her than Kahlan.

^ Yeah, the three wives things was a pretty "duh" moment. >_< haha... With regards to the end of the book and Fitch's role, it definitely came as a surprise - had to re-read the text to make sure "that" just happened. :P But "true love" does indeed "conquers/overcomes all." ;) hehe.

As for Faith of the Fallen, think I know which character you're referring to - but won't say more in the hopes of keeping things unknown til I read it for myself. ^^

Busy with How to Lose WW2 by Bill Fawcett - the trials and failures of the great battles of WW2 and how many opportunities to end the war sooner were lost.

I finished reading Apples First, chapter 1 of the Towers of Midnight.
It starts with the point of view from a character we haven’t seen since book 1.
If I’m lucky  I’ll  be able to place my order by Wednesday so the book should arrive by the end of November. :)

Am upto Chapter 25 of Faith of the Fallen. Different pace to what I'm used to, being a lot slower. But it has me itching to find out what the bigger picture is, and how things will play out in the end - considering events are happening on such a large scale.

Started reading Memories of Milligan by Norma Farnes. People who knew the late great comedian, Spike Milligan, look back at his life and key things they remember about him.

Started the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels - not quite what I expected, but pretty good read nonetheless. Its oddly Furi-Kuri-ish... Am halfway through volume 3.
