Busy with In Defense of Atheism : The Case Against Christianity, Judaism and Islam by Michel Onfray
(self explanatory title),

and

You Are Not A Gadget by Jaron Lanier - in which he discusses how the trend of reductionism (or dumbing-down) in the world of the internet, is de-humanising people.

So is Jaron Lanier saying that stupid people are not human?

@Ahzure - Sooo~ tempted to read that spoiler bit, but... must.... keep... on... fighting... it~ >_< :P

Work's been hectic the last few days, got a nasty defect that deals with calculations (hate those with a passion). Haven't really gotten any time to read cause of it (and when I do find some time inbetween, I'm not in the mood to read). :/

Finally got my paws on the first of the Neil Gaimen Sandman graphic novels. Weird, but good.

I've been to countless book stores and always seem to find the later more recent volumes of Sandman, never been able to find the first (or 2nd) volumes.

Some day I may just buy it online.

@ jGLZa - the only perk of working in a bookstore is being able to borrow the books  8).

Am busy with Sandman volume 2 and have 3 to 10 lined up and ready to go. Hope to finish a chunk in the next week or so.

I've completed up to volume 8 of Sandman and I can see why they are such acclaimed books. Despite the artwork not always being all that wonderful (though you could argue that that suits the dream-like nature of the tales), the storytelling is quite masterful and really sucks you into the world of the Endless.

Finished Sandman to volume 10, plus the extra volume (Preludes and Nocturnes). Epic stuff.

Almost finished A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.

Finished Blood of the Fold a moment ago. Not the "cleanest" of endings, leaving a few things to be resolved in the next book. >_<

Off to start the "4th Seeker" book... Temple of the Winds.

About to start chapter 14 of Temple of the Winds, and still have no idea what Temple the title is referring to. >_< lol. The recent handful of chapters went by pretty quickly, following the actions of a recently captured assassin - interrogation, torture, etc. On the plus side tho, a new character (a healer) was introduced a chapter or so ago - and he's a pretty imba dude to boot. 8)

I love the E book cover of Winter's Heart, it's nice to see Rand  on the cover for once.

I'm currently reading some Wheel of time theories. Wow!

@ Neon - I placed the spoiler tag in my   Blood of the Fold post because  you were still reading that particular book at the time and I didn’t want to spoil it for you.  ;)
