A 12-month GOLD subscription will cost R599 which more expensive than most current (SA) retailers who sell the international subscriptions but I'm guessing that will vary depending on the retailer.

Also something Im relieved about.

The SA Xbox team has laid these concerns to rest: “We want everyone to jump in. For those with existing Xbox LIVE account for another region, you’ll be able to migrate to the local service and keep your Profile, Gamer Score, Achievements, Microsoft Points Balance and paid for Subscription time remaining. You can also keep all the downloaded content stored on your hard-drive such as your Avatar items, LIVE Arcade games and songs.”

Yeah I know, I'll be doing the same atleast until my UK subscription expires.

However, I emailed evopoints yesterday and they said that if they do stock the SA subscriptions then they will try and keep a similar pricing system.

Yeah, I see both Look n Listen & Musica are selling them.

I havent jumped over yet as it doesnt seem worth it yet. I'm waiting for more feedback on LIVE multiplayer services.

As a test I region migrated my sisters XBL a/c. Formerly region blocked DLC nowworks. Finally got GoW2 map packs now But matchmaking still sucks ass.

Will BFBC2 multiplayer tonight.

At the moment I will say no. As multiplayer matchmaking hasnt improved at all - I can still only get games from fifa.

The marketplace is pretty dismal too. So I aint jumping over yet.
