Lets dicusses anything related to God of War.

God of War 3 has just been release today.

Went to BT Games Midnight release date this evening. Boy it was worth it!

Scroed some free drinks and food sponser by Maxis. Surprising good I must say and also get to try out God of War III Full Game before you can purchase it or those who preordered.

The graphics and gameplay is just simply stunning like anything! Really enjoying it alot so far!

On my 2nd play through:

I must say visually it is very impressive and is very entertaining, far better than I thought especially after GOW 2.

Love the new weapons, they actually worth playing with now and aren't just used to solve certain puzzles. It isn't a case of needing to play with the Blades anymore caus ethey the only decent weapon, all the weapons are decent, which is cool. They all have great combo's and abilities, infact later in the game it starts to feel as if the Blades are useless compared to the other weapons

The only real reason for me to use the blades was their spartan magic ability, which was the best of the magic atacks for me.

The Bow is awesome as well for suspending people in the air for some awesome combo's. Helios head is also pretty cool for stunning some enemies and the Boots just add a touch to stylish combo's.

Speaking of combo's I'm glad the game doesn't just rely on Square Square Triangle anymore infact I hardly used it, just based on the the combat system felt a little fresh even if it is a bit too familiar.

What I didn't like was the sometimes unresponsive controls when double jumping or opening chests.
Some of the boss fights were horrible, really horrible and felt very rushed.
Thought I would get more use from the boots but they were pretty much useless, only good for getting around the parts that required the boots or running into enemies.
Going back to the same place over and over also got a bit annoying.

The game def gave me some enjoyment although I don't see myself playing through the story more than 2 maybe 3 times.

I agree at least you can try out some nic new weapons and its useful for a change.

Plus the bow doesnt no longer need Magic power and you can shoot unlimited like Devil May Cry Style with the combos out of it.

I dig the boss battles in my option. Still fun. Maybe on 2nd play with a higher difficulty can make more harder.

Yeah but Poseidon and Hades are the only decent boss fights, Helios isn't even a fight and Hermes is a stupid chase and then throw an statue on him and hit him a few times. Those fights are pathetic and they could of done more with them. Hercules as well wasn't all that great. First Zeus fight was good but the 2nd fight is the most monotonous boss fight I've done in ages, was horrible and really ruined the ending

I offically finished every single God of War games including PSP as well. The storyline is really fantasic of how it chains up to the series.

I gotta admit though GOW III felt a bit rush with some scenes and boss fights as DP mentioned in the eariler post. Also the Challenges of Olympus was bleh, was expecting more from it. Although GOW III has def have the best weapons with combos you can play in the series. Visually is fantasic in every way. It mange to be a great game.

I admit I also after played Ghost of Sparta on PSP. It should have been PS3 instead coz it found some way to be better than GOW III in a way.
