Tons of One Piece goodness...

-Movie Specials
-Mugiwara Theater
-OVA
-Specials

One Piece - The Movie (Movie 01)
Sees the crew of four treasure-hunting for some gold.

One Piece - Clockwork Island Adventure (Movie 02)
The crew is now five (with Sanji). While on a beach relaxing, the Going Merrie gets stolen thus leading the crew to get it back.

One Piece - Chopper's Kingdom on the Island of Strange Animals (Movie 03)
Chopper is now also part of the crew (seems there's a new dude each year :P). This one was an eye-opener. I forgot how scared Chopper was of any dangerous situations when he 1st joined. I expected him to kick ass but most of the movie he was rescued by his teamies. xD

Oh that's right - the English dub DVD I had... (I've since scrounged it in Japanese, but haven't watched it yet)

One Piece - Curse of the Sacred Sword (Movie 05)
We meet one of Zoro's childhood buddies who is caught up with a cursed sword. The production value and artwork was really sweet, thus making it a pleasure to watch. Luffy was a hoot in this movie, having a blast during some dangerous situations. lol.

One Piece - Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island (Movie 06)
Quite the contract in the animation style from the prev movie, didn't enjoy the art direction in this one at all. Looked very much like FLCL - it allowed for free-flow movements but lacked detail. The movie also had a lot more comic relief than the prev movies, with ongoing gags through out the beginning and middle - which I didn't expect. The only good thing about this was the ending, leaving me guessing and keeping me surprised. So far, it's the worst movie from the lot. :/

One Piece - The Giant Mechanical Soldier of Karakuri Castle (Movie 07)
On a wrecked ship which is abandoned, the crew find a treasure chest but inside the chest is an old lady looking to return home. Thus leading us to the island housing Karakuri Castle. Was awesome to see some mecha/machines in the One Piece world.

One Piece - Episode of Alabasta - The Desert Princess and the Pirates (Movie 08)
This ended up being a total rehash of the Alabasta rebellion episodes, not at all what I was hoping it might be. :/

Finished Kuragehime - its only 11 eps, but could've been 13 -  the finale was good, but really felt as if it all wrapped up a bit too quickly.

Hajime no Ippo : New Challenger - up to ep 20. Only got a few eps left so am savouring them...

Finished Hajime no Ippo New Challenger - and boy was it awesome! Man, this really needs another season!!!

Started Ano Hana (or "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai" - We still don't know the name of the flower we saw that day). Looks like uits gonna be a weepy, but I hear it's well worth the emotional scaring :P.

^ That turned out to be a very enjoyable show, despite a few DBZ moments...
