The last manga which I have bought and is by no means recent was the vol. 2 of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Made after the anime, it adds in a few chapters here and there.

Do you perhaps know how long the manga series is? I really enjoyed the anime, but i've been investing in too many series, so i have to be cautious about new manga's :|

@kAt: As far as I know three volumes have been released although I cannot be sure if that is correct. I assume it is still ongoing but I doubt it will go beyond the actual show.

@Lucky13: Most of the extra chapters so far have mainly been side stories whic dont really add to content and are more there for comic-relief if anything else. But as the movie did, most of the main chapters have same the end-result but may use alternate methods to get there.

??? Im sorry. Can you say that again?

Are you trying to say that you did not know there was Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann show!? :o (I let it slide that you may not have seen it, but not knowing at all {alt}
What manga have you recently bought?
)

Its one of the few Original Animes around, not to mention the most successful (behind Evangelion). It was 27 episodes long, with 2 movies retelling the story.

Spoiler: Who do you think we are!?! (hover to show)

Almost forgot... I bought Girls Bravo manga.

What do you mean "original Anime" though? It's just another Super Robot show, but a success one unlike most recent anime of SR genre (Shin Mazinger, Gaiking, Reideen, Dancougar Nova, Kotetsushin Jeeg), Gundams have always been pretty successful for RR genre (SR is pretty dead beyond Gundam though), as for SR after Evangelion... GGG was pretty successful? I'd say GaoGaiGar had a lot more impact in the industry than GL.

*nitpick nitpick nitpick*
