I'm always curious as to what's new on the manga scene (... even though i'm collecting so many other series ><) and i'm always behind on the latest "fads" :|

So anyone know of any new series?

Could you provide us with a brief synopsis onegaishimasu?

20th Century Boys by "Monster" creator, Urusawa Naoki. Its one of his older titles but just recently become available in the larger format Tankobon volumes that have starting appearing (which I quite like as the artwork is bigger).

I've heard it's quite a long series and then there's still 21st Century Boys after that! :O

But its complete which is awesome and its pretty good (I have on read 2st volume).

Another manga that I have been recommended recently is Sanctuary by Sho Fumimura. It is also complete and is aimed at mature readers dealing with courrupt politics and the yakuza.

Good news everyone.

It seems Kio Shimoku is starting up a new volume of Genshiken! Best news I've heard in a while. So far there is Chapter 56 and 57 (which I've scrounged and read) - lovely stuff!

Also the guy who did Golden Boy (no introduction required) is set to return to the title.
