I just completed Half-Life 2: Lost Coast. It was an area created to show off HDR lighting and the development of HL2. The game takes around 15 minutes to complete.
Besides Portal, the was my first HL2 game I finished  /

Since MW2 is now out i have restarted playing the 1st on PC and a bit of Broken Sword 1 on wii (on teh side).

Since my SiN Episodes: Emergence finished downloading this morning (thank you, Steam!) I'll hopefully be playing it tonight. Got 'cos it was only R79 and is apparently quite short!

9+ hours into Avatar and I finally got to a "night"-stage (with the wicked glowing floor/plants/NA'Vi). It was more a cave but that's better than nothing. >_< As you know, I went with the RDA storyline, but last night I was given another chance to choose btwn the 2 factions. And with the story the way it is now, I've gone with the NA'Vi - which has me attacking prev allies (which is kinda eery).

Got to play half a hour last night and I'm liking it. A little generic, but it's what I wanted.

My personal philosophy with PCs is: Today's hardware for yesterdays games

It's the only way you can really afford to play PC. Although, my system running the Oddworld games is overkill

An idea I had was to be one generation behind when it comes to PCs. So your hardware and games will be cheaper. All glitches and bugs will be more or less fixed. You'll know the problems of graphics cards etc. Of course the downside is no one will want to talk about your games etc.

I agree there as well. It's also a reason I never purchase brand new cards as they arrive - hence another choice as to why I have a GTS250 as it's a rebranded 9800GTX+.

Busy downloading the Supreme Commander 2 demo from Steam. Really enjoyed the first one, but it LANs the weakest PC (seriously a AMD AM2 5400+ - that's not even weak!) would slow down the game.

EDIT:
Played the Supreme commander 2 demo and...I'm gonna skip this one. Maybe pick it up in a bargain bin. It's not bad, but feels very watered down compared to the original. I feel LAN'ing it won't be as much fun.

Managed to finished the RDA campaign this weekend, sorta feels like it ends just where the movie starts. >_< Can't wait to jam the full-on NA'VI campaign next. Love that the game has an auto-save right at the part where you decide which faction you wanna choose, so I won't need to play the 1st few hourz of training missions again.
