^ haha... Win~

Also caught How to Train Your Dragon (3D) over the weekend. My word, it totally blew my mind... Way better than I could have hoped it would turn out. Totally loved the feel for speed during those flying scenes. ;) Can't wait to watch it again, hoping to add it to my DVD collection. 8)

Saw An Education and i was impressed. This has got to be one of the best british films, that isn't a period drama or a comedy, that i have seen in some time. Definatly worth the watch

Managed to catch a number of movies this long weekend...

--------------------------------

Planet 51 - Spoke to a dude at work about this one and he highly recommended it, but after watching How to Train Your Dragon, it sorta felt weak. ::) Had it's funny moments though. :D

From Paris with Love - Oh man, this one was a sleeper hit. Had no idea what it was gonna be about, my bro's recommendation. Totally loved it. It follows a CIA super-agent (Travolta 8) ) as he tries to stop terrorists. The bitz of humour were an awesome touch.

Armoured - Ag man, the hype over this one had me disappointed in the end. :/ Was about a group of guards who try to steal bank munny that they're transporting.

The Spy Next Door - Classic Jackie Chan stuff! Wasn't expecting much, but am glad to say I was pleasantly surprised.

The Men who Stare at Goats - lol... This one was just crazy, referring to Jedi and stuff. :P >_< Was about a journalist who discovers a secret branch of the army who uses "love and peace" instead of violence for war. Some great acting really sold it home. 8)

Old Dogs - Was skeptical about this one, but again I was pleasantly surprised. If you haven't seen the trailer, then you wouldn't know that this movie is about some dude who finds out he has 2 kids, and looks after them (getting to know them), while their mother spends two weeks in jail for protesting. Not very original but watchable, and it had Travolta... pewpew~ >_<

^ That seems to be the going rate for 3D movies. X_x The cinema I went to was pretty sweet, the dude at the ticket-counter advised us to buy a movie-card (which costs R50), and let us catch the 3D one as the "free-movie". So we saved 10 bucks. >_<

Yes watched it this afternoon, what a brilliant movie, loved it!

Also recently watched Inglourious Basterds, definitely a brilliant movie, a bit too explicit at times for me, (I am squirmish)... but I felt the flow of the move as well as the storyline was amazing!

Also watched The Proposal, clichéd but funny nonetheless :)

Letters from Iwo Jima - Great film this, though upon my second viewing, felt a bit long (which could also have been due to 4 days with little sleep). Unusual as it shows the largely unheard voice of the Japanese soldier during WW2.

Saw Daybreakers over the weekend. Really liked the alternate reality of the world, set in 2019 where almost all Humans have were turned into Vamps like 20 years ago, and now they running low on their food supply (blood). Left a lot of questions unanswered though, so am hoping there's a prequel/sequel in the works. :P
