Star Trek First Contact - after watching the Klingon shows (see series), fealt like some more Trek, and this was the only other thing we have at the flat.

Aah, its fun, despite the cheesy acting  ;).

Caught Inception yesterday at Brightwater and man, after all these months they still skimming off the top. T_T Let me start from the beginning... we arrived late for the 17:45 start, so rushed to buy the tickets and popcorn. Only after I got home I noticed the the reason that gave four individual-tickets rather than one ticket with four peeps. And here's where the skimming part comes in, three of the tickets were for Inception, while the 4th was for Twilight (5pm start, same date) - they were ninja enough to try seat the 4 together but the Twilight one was seat number 6 (row M) while the proper Inception tickets said 8, 9, 10 (row M). >_> Also, the receipt only had a 3x payment. <_<

Anyway, onto the movie itself...
Missed the 1st who knows how many minutes, things were already blowing up on screen when I walked into the cinema (thought it might be a trailer for a second). T_T For a movie about hacking dreams (layers of dreams at that), it wasn't as confusing as one might expect - but it did leave a ton of questions for the drive back home. :P It was great, but not IMDb.com 3rd in the top 250 great (which is where it's sitting). >_> Looking forward to catching the start someday. >_<

Green Lantern : First Flight - decent animated film showing how the
Hal Jordan Green Lantern (the story has been redone a few times over the years) gets his powers. Didn't know much about this hero, so nice to get a bit of a primer before the new live action next year.

Latest movies you've seen ^^

One Friday evening our dad brought us the  BraveStarr movie. My sister and I found it quite scary. This past weekend a friend loaned me his copy, the DVD contains a lot extras such as audio commentary, a documentary and the five best episodes (as voted by the fans)

Push - Damn movie bored me too tears
Nightmare on Elm Street - Pretty decent, not great and obviously predictable but at least enjoyable enough to keep watching
The Decent Part 2 - enjoyed the first movie and glad to say this one lived up to the first.
Tekken, surprisingly quite good
Cirque du Freak The Vampire's Assistant

Predators - lotsa fan service (not of the panty kind  ;)) - loved it despite a few hiccups!

How to Train Your Dragon - finally got to see this - great stuff - sad I missed it at the cinema now!

Hot Tub Time Machine - mediocre - a joke for every type of bodily fluid... yeah... awesome  :-X ::)

Dragon Hunters - kids CG movie - bit boring despite some pretty animation.

Splice - kinda creepy, modern Frankenstein film - low in "shocks" tho - kept waiting for something to happen... ending a bit predictable.

Repo Men - decent, gory sci-fi movie - in a future where you can get spare parts for any organs, if you can't pay the high installment costs, the repo men come and take back the bits - by hacking them out of your living body!

Marmaduke
The main reason I watched this one was cause of Lee Pace (the Pie-maker from Pushing Daisies). :P Usually I stay away from talking animal movies but this one I knew too lil about it so was intrigued (the trailer gave nothing away). >_< It's not a movie I'd watch again but definitely enjoyed the viewing. 8)

The Book of Eli
OMW! Sorta got the gist of the story from a dude here at work, but nothing prepared me for the protagonist's imba skills. 8) Sure the movie is kak slow at times, but it kicks so much ass it's worth tanking it. :P After reading about the movie on IMDb, I just found out something huge I didn't pick up thru out, so am keen to watch it again to confirm this.

I remember this from when I was a kid.

Over the weekend I watched Prince of Persia. The movie is loosly based upon Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. Worth a watch and of the the better movies-based-on-video-games.

Salt - enjoyed this movie a lot until the ending happened, seriously what a crap ending.

Twilight Eclipse - took too long to get a decent copy but finally it happened and enjoyed the movie a lot, looking forward to the next one.

Splice - Very weird but a cool movie.
