Natsume Discussion
« on: January 12, 2011, 10:40:12 AM »

The NatsumeCMS thread - to avoid littering the lo-chan thread any furthur.

As today the gallery engine code is begun  - I would like to get a list of features artists or image uploaders would want,

+ the eventual inclusion of a attempted link between SMF and Natsume ( loMag link )
 + OpenID implementation
+ FaceBook login implementation ( 'Login with facebook' as an addon using openID )
+ planned Danborou/Konachan style implementation for image board wannabe websites ( i have acquired their hitcounters by license - woot )

+ planned eventual DeviantART and Pixiv.Net image in-stream for non hosted remote images.

+ OutSTream ( remotly loading gallery from Natsume - eg : Via Lomag displaying usergalleries via Morugan ... )

+ eventual 'Manga/Comic pages' engine as a separate feature - but gallery engine linked.

This thread exists because this CMS is:
+ Targeted towards Otakus,Mangaka,Aritists,Musicians,etc.... (with eventual localization features)
 + Anime Fans
 + English People
 + Japanese People (eventually)
+ General geeks who want to code PHP pages without ever using FTP to upload them
 + etc

it's just the default template on fixed width... ( what flashing text? )

However - any theme designed for it can be made any way.. certain admin panel portions wont work so well on wide displays - as the admin panel uses the default theme.

Ill be uploading the latest working copy later on today.... before 5-ish

Edit: try this - You are not allowed to view links.Register or Login

Edit: I see the flashing text when I try it in FIrefox.. will fix as soon as I can. Didn't realize it was doing that.

Edit: User Login CHeck is disabled. In the demo the admin pages can be accessed via URL without logging in for now

Yeah it seems only FF was flashing for some reason...

yeah I found it - My immediate suspect was a CSS property that only works on Firefox and Netscape( Crapscape 4.0)

A accidental 'text-decoration:blink;' was in a CSS file - will upload updated version later today.

Firefox and Netscape are the only 2 browsers I know of that use the 'blink' value.

Which is why I didn't see it when testing in Chrome.

It will be the link between SMF and Natsume were SMF users can login to Natsume in order to upload images and such ( art integration ),

-- and then were a subsite page  were the SMF can display a Natsume hosted gallery ( were images are not stored here, and all bandwidth is placed on Natsume )

----

it will only require access to the user's table from the SMF mySQL database - and then clone them into Natsume (importing).

Basically by subsite page is a PHP page that does all the work using the mySQL and Natsume link - so that SMF will not have to be modified. Basically on SMF side it will run as it's own page.

basically in the end i am providing hosting for their Lomag galleries when it is done, and bandwidth for uploads and browsing, so that SMF doesn't run out of bandwidth.

There will be a limit on image count though - probably a max of 100 or 200 uploads per person - depends on tests.

Morugan.Net sharing hosting -- free of charge of course when all this is done ... it is advertising for Natsume =)

At E-Website we will be using Natsume as a part of our hosting option as well - pre-installike  ( will implement a installer into our CPANEL WHM controller )

A number of the clients will be converted to this -- the first one is a new website ( which I am designing while building Natsume )

You are not allowed to view links.Register or Login -- the site is waiting on the gallery features as well.

Also - E-Website will be running on it

It will also eliminate the '#pages cost system'... since instead of designing a '5 page website' - we will be designing a template and then they can fill up until they have no hosting space left- and everything else then boils down to the hosting/email/ etx capacity of the packages.

Cool huh? When this is done- my workload get's reduced....

I updated the test at morugan with the new CSS files - but not PHP code...

There should  be no more bling-bling-blinking + more theme changes.

Login still not required on test - but the rpo copy is locked down onto default password as minimum login.

While gallery browsing doesn't happen yet ...

please test the gallery submission in the admin panel with any type of image file that is a PNG JPEG or GIF

Please note animated gifs will break animation if they are larger than 100 px due to resizing.
