Macross Zentraedi Battle Pod - kit rescued from a box of scrap. I had to extensively rebuild the legs - they still ended up uneven, but I will eventually make a base for it, so it'll look as if its taking a step. Also added were new lift nozzles on the legs, new foot plates and new chin guns. I still need to add a dark wash (thin, inky paint) around the details to help them stand out a bit, and also need to redo the blue as I faded it a bit too much.

Here's a selection of the anime kits I have yet to build (in a collection of a couple of hundred kits - tanks, figures, Star Wars etc. models).

Two really cool Gundam kits - a Titan GM and a Zaku II - I prefer some of the simpler variations when it comes to these. I also have a Zaku I which I am busy with - I'll post build photos later. Still want a DOM in the same scale (1/100).

An EXTLLABOR mech kit - its from one of the Patlabor movies:

Next is a Tachikoma kit I got at rAge a few years back. I want to modify the figurine of the major that is included as its a bit boring. Its too stiff compared to the box photo.

Lastly, 2 of my Nausicaa kits. I also have a figure of Nausicaa riding her bird creature from early in the film which I need to finish painting:

Excellent stuff man! I'll post mine at some point as well.

Where did you get the Macross Zentraedi Battle Pod (command version) from?

@GrahamZA - model shop in Japan - I forget which one now, but I think it was the one I found in Abashiri. Also got 2 Cowboy Bebop ship kits from them (Spike's Swordfish 2 and Fay's Red Tail - they never did Jet's Hammerhead for some reason  :(). I bought a ton of stuff while I was there.

Star Wars Episode 1 Droid Armoured Assault Tank (AAT) - approx 1/24 though the box says 1/35, which it can't be based on overall size. Model is complete and ready for paint. Plastic kit grab handles were replaced with wire as these are the first things that get broken off. The plan is to paint it blue and grey similar to the AATs seen in the Clone Wars CG series rather than the sand/yellow/brown of the movie vehicle. (Marker pen gives you an idea just how big this kit is).

Awesome SW collection. 8) Jengo's ship from Episode 2 FTW! Loved that sequence with the asteroid-belt. ;)

@BanzaiBoB - I love the Star Wars Revell kits, but it's too bad they're so easy :( I have an X-Wing myself. Been eyeing getting the AT-AT and Slave 1.

Busy building 2 more Gundams at the moment. One is the Shin Musha (samurai), which I'll start on the weekend or next week. The other is RX-93 V Fighter.

@ NeoN - This version is Boba Fett's Slave 1 - but I guess he musta inherited the ship from his dad. (According to canon - he also has Slave 2 to 4 - and possibly also Slave 5).

@GrahamZA - most of the SW kits I have are the old MPC kits, which are real dogs to put together, but give good models if you're prepared to do a lot of filling, sanding and detailing. I have the massive Millenium Falcon kit which is just horrible, but I will persevere with it cos its just so frikkin' cool.

Two of the kits (TIE Interceptor and Jedi Starfighter) are FineMoulds kits - a bit small at about 1/72, but superb, highly-detailed kits.

The newer Revell Easy-kits are really nice, but you pretty much just shake the box and out they fall. The pre-painting irritates me somewhat (but I'll repaint anyway) and the horrible rubbery figures in some of the kits make me rage. The worst is the large crewman for the AT-RT - I'm thinking of cutting him up, making moulds of the bits and casting a resin figure.

I still want (need!) - a Y-Wing and an AT-ST. A Super Star Destroyer would also be nice. Wouldn't mind an AT-TE and a Republic Gunship either.

I'm utterly useless and painting and detailing - I just love putting the models together  ;D

I actually broke part of the inside of my X-Wing because of that - thankfully no one can see it!

Completed the one Gundam this evening - looks great, but it is a little top heavy.

EDIT:
Here's an image of my latest Gundam and my X-Wing. Sorry about the quality of the images!

@GrahamZA - nice. Love the Gundam - cool colour scheme. I'm not overly a fan of the basic white Gundam with red and yellow trim - plus white is an awful colour to work with when it comes to painting - but I like this blue and white scheme.

My construction skills are pretty good - I can readily make parts and details from scratch. But then I've been building models for 20-25 years now... My painting needs work, but I'm not bad. My favourite part is still sticking all the bits together  ;).

Here's the boxes for my Cowboy Bebop 1/72 Swordfish II (which comes with a 1/24 Spike, Faye and Jet).

Okay. Here's the Zaku 1 I am currently busy with:-

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d22/BanzaiBoB/100_0968.jpg
BB's Modelworks

Here's the torso and waist section - you can see how much extra work these Chinese knockoffs need - lots of filler and trimming of parts:

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d22/BanzaiBoB/100_0981.jpg
BB's Modelworks

Leg sections - again, lots of filler required along with plenty of sanding. Note the white bits on the feet - plastic card cut and shaped to fill huge gaps in the kit parts:

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d22/BanzaiBoB/100_0977.jpg
BB's Modelworks

Kit comes with some hectic weaponry, but I want the basic setup, so am going with just the shield, lazer rifle and heat axe:

I've been thinking of getting a Zaku as well since it's the only "enemy" Gundam I sort of like.

Now a fan of the SD stuff.

@GrahamZA - not a huge fan of the SD versions, though they are quite fun. I did have a kit of one a while back, but traded it with a mate of mine.

Small scale Eva 01 Test Type model - Its quite a simple figure and didn't need much work. I want to add it to a base, maybe adding a power coupling and cable which I'll need to scratch build. First undercoat is on, and I was testing the black paint for some of the details, but it went a bit wrong so I need to do some minor sanding, then respray.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d22/BanzaiBoB/100_0923.jpg
BB's Modelworks

Some Alien models - a mostly complete 1/35 Space Marines APC - I added some minor details missing from the roof. The hull needed a lot of filler (the grey stuff you can see on the surface) and I had to add plastic sheet to blank off a number of gaps. I still need to fix the searchlight, which is a bit crude, and re-do the lights on the rear hull.
