AMV - Anime Music Video

So originally I wanted to sugest that we all post our favorite AMV videos. But then i realised that Im too lazy to go look for vids on youtube so I scrapped that idea.

Instead, if you want to just name your favorite AMV. I have l33t google skillz so I should probably be able to find them anyway if I wanted to. Alternatively just tell us if you like AMV's, maybe you don't - WHY?
What type of AMV's do you like: lots of SFX, AMV's that tell a story, parodies, etc.

Also, has anyone actually made an AMV of their own?

Used to love watching AMV, mainly ones of anime I've seen already - to relive the awesomeness.

Haven't seen an AMV for years now. :/ Lost interest big time after leaving the Uni anime-club.

Still love these, but haven't seen any in a while. I prefer more straightforward ones over excessive effects - if the effect suits and it works, go for it, but I've seen more than one AMV which is just a showreel for the creator's ability to use after-effects or whatever.

I made a few (3, plus 2 that were never finished) back in the day. Haven't had time or inclination to do any since...

AMVs I did were:

1. Jamiroquai, Deeper Underground with Bakuretsu Tenshi

2. Sting, Desert Rose with Last Exile

3. And a Smashmouth song which I can't remember with Green Green (they wouldn't allow me to upload this to AMVs.org cos it was a bit naughty  )

Unfinished were:

1. REM, Losing My Religion with Haibane Renmei

2. Weird Al, Living in the Fridge with Cowboy Bebop (I saw one along the same lines as what I was planning  after I'd abandoned the project by "Some Guy With Too Much Time On His Hands" - frankly, what I'd done with mine was way better - should have finished it.)

One of my all time favourites is a Cpt Tylor/Smashmouth AMV; also a FrouFrou song using Rahxephon (which was hilariously parodied using the same style but with Azumanga Daioh instead).

Oh the RahXephon/FrouFrou one is by Koop (russian guy I think), one of my favorites too.

Another one I like which is supposedly also by a South African (It has a proudly SA logo at the begining of the video) is a GITS/Hoobastank AMV. Really like that one.

Hmm - if its the one I think it is, I went to college with a guy who claimed he'd made it - but he was kind of an ass, so maybe, maybe not... (he was involved with *spit* Otaku mag at one time...)

^ Seen a few minutes of one of them and that threw me off 'em forever. Can't recall what exactly I didn't like about it, all I know is that it left a bad taste in my mouth. >_>

Most of it is funny as all hell, but a bit annoying in a few clips (mainly in "the movie"). Have watched and re-watched many a time - its also fun playing "spot the anime" - and rather pleasing that I've seen almost all the ones used  .
