Yeah guys, I miss the oldsters - terix, kaden, trigun, sato-san, kAt, sakura, suki-gin and many others... even Alucard and Uber-san...

Its great to have somewhere to geek out, but the spirit of otakuness has faded greatly the past few years...  :(

What is the state of anime/manga fandom in SA? 10+ years ago when I started, the groups were small, but really dedicated. Now, fans seem kinda wishy-washy and more insular than ever...  :( :( :(

Yes it really seems to be. In the original days of LO, and then Otaku Mag, anime and manga in South Africa were expanding. The invent of Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon on local TV seemed to a great influence as well.

In recent years this passion has died down and I cannot seem to fathom why?
