Local Online Stores
« on: August 18, 2010, 12:37:11 PM »
Im looking for good reputable local online stores or offshore ones that ship to SA.

At the moment I only know of:

Well, there's a bunch - but is it something specific you are looking for?

(For the record, Take2 is my favourite and first stop - especially for manga and dvds. Try also You are not allowed to view links.Register or Login

for books, music, dvds etc - sometimes a bit cheaper than T2 so worth comparing. Also for the record - tried Kalahari once - had nothing but hassles - and they are generally more expensive than T2 or Loot).

Anyone know a good anime figurine site that won't break the bank?

FigureFantix is online & Readers Den is launching their online store this September. Both will most likely break the bank though.

Specifically I was looking for a media player & an office chair but I just wanted to know any other good local online stores. I only knew of Take2 before.

Both are ridiculously expensive. I prefer purchasing my manga/graphic novels from Take2 and Kalahari.net.
Don't forget about AnimeWorx (You are not allowed to view links.Register or Login

).

This is the media player
I have and I LOVE it. Has thrown every file I've thrown at it so far. After a firmware upgrade or two it's even better.

The downside of that one is no wireless and it doesn't support an internal HDD.

The wireless is a downside, but I actually not looking for one with an internal HDD, but I guess more is better. Hows the remote?

Very good. I'm quite happy with the unit.

The only one better than this, IMO, is the Mede8er which supports 3.5" drives and has a more customised firmware, but it costs a lot more.

I've put it on my Take2 wishlist, so if I happen to ragequit a game anytime soon I may find it arriving at my house sometime.
