Batman: Arkham City


The sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum (GotY 2009) has been confirmed and the title annouced - Batman: Arkham City.

The game is being developed by original developers Rocksteady and is tipped for a autumn release next year. Not much has been revealed about the game but as the title suggests, the story will be set in Gotham City this time out.

Looking at the pictures, we will be seeing some more characters as well... hello Selina.

With a fall release, the game will hitting the shelves after the Green Lantern game (which is supposedly to be released along with the movie), so hopefully it will be able to ride a wave of positivity for comic book games.

Awesome stuff.

Yet to the play the 1st game, will get to it one day. :P

As for the Lantern game, hope it plays on the same sorta level as this franchise - and isn't another quick cash-in. If you know what I mean. >_>

They have promised that the GL game wont just be a rehash of the movie. It is said to have its own story.

Obviously the deal-breaker will be over how they allow the gamer to use the lanterns power ring.

New footage from the game. Looks pretty much the same as the first, but then you cant really improve on perfection.

Games seems pretty good so far, the combat at the moment is incredibly simple so hopefully that opens up a bit later where it's not just mash square and hit triangle when the counter sign comes up. Throw is some batrangs and combo's during some of the action though it does flow really nicely.

Really enjoyed playing as Catwoman though, it's weird how in a Batman game one of the side characters controls and feels so much cooler than the main character. Big improvement over the previous game and sure I'll enjoy this one. Hopefully they make a whole game based on her cause compared to batman she flows with this game so much better She has some awesome moves.
