The Big Bang Theory S5 eps 12 and 13.

Picked up a bunch of new 'n old stuff today including: first eps of The Finder (woohoo); Season 1 of Todd and the Book of Pure Evil (referred to as kinda like Buffy, but with swearing ;)); Three Inches (about a guy with the power to move any object with his mind- but only three inches); First few eps of Alcatraz, plus some other stuff. Will let you know what I think as and when I get to 'em.

And so begins the great saga of catching up...

Smallville
1013-1019. Not as bad as I thought it would be to get back into it. Keen to finally see how they chose to conclude the series.

I watched the remainder of Teen Wolf (season 1  episodes) I had on the PVR.

In the first episode the Alpha herded the protagonist and his friends to the high school, intend on slaughtering all of them.
While the protagonist was floundering his best friend stepped upped  and took charge. I liked this one scene, where the Jock seemingly has to choose between saving the  protagonist’s girlfriend or  protecting his girl.

In the following episode another Full Moon is upon us, meaning the hero won’t be in control of his emotions, in fact he acts like Clark when he is exposed on Red Kryptonite.
This (Full Moon phenomena) spurs him on to have an elicit encounter with the jock’s girlfriend  (they probably only got as far as somewhere between second and third base) and get insanely jealous when he witnesses the blossoming friendship between the Jock and Allison (the hero’s girlfriend.)

The rest  was all a blur
- The identity of the Alfa was revealed
- Allison learned the truth about the main protagonist.
- Oh and she turned into an the Action Girl.
- Someone defeated the  Alfa thus complicating things for the main  protagonist.
- I like the fact that the side kick had date to the dance and that he was willing to anything to save her later on. (I wonder what she’s going to be like next Full Moon.)   ;D
- I’ll  admit that the scene at the dance where the main protagonist says, he and this other guy are a couple was funny. :D

What I did not like about the series
- For some reason most of the scenes seems to have been shot in the male locker room and  the male showers. It is kind of creepy when you notice just  how often they focused on  shots of males with  towels draped around the waist, some guy being bare-chested  for no reason at all, or the fact that the male characters have no problem invading one another’s personal space.    :P

^ Looking forward to reading your post once I've started/finished the series. :P

Smallville
1020-1022. Not as bad as I thought it would but I can see why peeps might have not enjoyed the ending - was sorta dumbed down for television (or maybe a PG audience).

Camelot
104-110. Glad I stuck with it since it provided some awesome surprises. The abundance of chorus/orchestral tunes didn't hurt either. xD lol.

Finished American Horror Story S1 - ermmm, okay ending, but it was a bit boring up to then.

Todd and the Book of Pure Evil - watched the first ep. It's a bit cheesy, and seems aimed at stoners, but a humouress watch nonetheless.

The Walking Dead
202-207. Had it's slow moments but that was made up for with the epic ending of the mid-season break. Just saw that it'll pick up again on the 12th of Feb, can't wait!

The Vampire Diaries
304-310. As unpredictable as ever. Was fascinating to learn the history of Klaus and his family.

*edit*
The Vampire Diaries
311-312. Epic intrigue continues, keeping me the edge of my seat, waiting for the next epi. xD

Todd and the Book of Pure Evil to ep 6. Daft, brainless fun.

Spartacus Vengeance - eps 1 & 2. Plenty of blood, gore and nudity as expected. Good replacement for the original guy. Some truly crap acting from some of the supporting cast, plus a couple of real plot stretches, but then this is basically gore porn, so...

Man Up ep 1 . New comedy about a group of guys trying to come to terms with the fact that, unlike their fathers and grandfathers, men today are kinda, well... soft.

The Guild - season 1 and part of season 2. Humourous Web-TV series about a group of socially inept geeks who's lives revolve around an MMORPG called "The Game". Stars the rather delicious Felicia Day.

Weeds
701-713. Better than I feared it might be. Had a bunch of moments that had me laughing out loud. xD

Grimm eps 8 - 10. The last few episodes have certainly been a lot better. Enough to keep me watching for now anyway.

Fringe S4 eps 1, 2 and 3. This season is really kicking off with some superb eps.

Red Dwarf - Back to Earth - got my Director's Cut DVDs  last week. Starts off a bit slow, but ultimately was awesome to see the crew back in action. Looking forward to Season 10 which is in the works.

Spartacus Vengeance: Not to fond of the new guy. The previous guy was more "intense". This guy looks different every episode. And like some people here say: Story is a bit thin.
Californication : The usual sex and hilarity with a strong dose of reality, makes this serious actually very "educational" for me.
The Philanthropist: Great series, but maybe a bit too serious for most people (probably why it failed)
Shaun the Sheep: Light entertainment
Modern Family 3: Great series.
