E3 - Electronic Entertainment Expo

Most of us know and have been following E3 this past week. So if you saw, read or heard anything of interest make use of this thread to rant, rejoice, criticise or just let others know.

Some of the big news I heard was the forthcoming launch of the Xbox 360 lite and Kinect for the Xbox.

Also there was the premiere of the full trailer for Gears of War 3 and another DBZ game (Raging Blast 2) coming out.

Im at work now so cant really post content, will do so when I get home. But in the mean time, go ahead and share guys.

New xbox lite is too late in the game, kinect looked like crap, wasn't impresed by the move either. The only piece of hardware that made any impact and won Nintendo that best of E3 award for me was the showing of the 3DS.

Game wise nothing was unveiled that interested me in the slightest except the new need for speed hot pusuit and the 3DS games.

Very dissapointing E3 but then again TGS always blows E3 away so looking foward to that. At least I got to see MvC3 in action though

Apparently  The 3rd Birthday has been dubbed "Parasite Eve 3" by  fans.  I'm quite eager  to play the game  because it has been some time since we last saw   Aya Brea.

3DS was pretty cool.

Kinect was alright, but still has some flaws.

And the Wii HD, I mean the PS3's wand was total poo.

Some good looking games though and I'm looking forward to Metal Gear Rising PE3 and others.

3DS was always going to steal the show, I was super excited when I read about it last year.

It's the Tokyo Game Show.

Something I was chatting to NeoN about now is that all of this new technology is kind of gimmicky. Sure you can use your whole body, flail your arms or get a headache...but what about getting back to the games?

Kinect is cool.
3DS is cool.
Wand/Wii is cool.
All 3 of these have great potential, but none of it is utilized properly.

Remember the PS1 games where guys like Kojima really made a difference? Why didn't think "OMG WTF?!" when Psycho Mantis was reading your game save? That was pretty damn cool to me.

That may be a little different, but I'd love companies to focus on games and not just "My penis is bigger than yours."

Just read that they showed off the new Twisted Metal game at E3. Wicked news indeed.

So I read today that Nintendo are going to making Star Fox for the 3DS and Donkey Kong for the Wii, f@CK yeah!!

Lol come on at least it something cool about it. I agree its a copy and paste WII but the titles for PS3 with Move support such as Dead Space Extraction Point in HD, Time Crisis 5, RE5 with Move Support its already a good start for it. At least its much better device than that Time Crisis 4 that horrible crappy orange gun to say the least.

Some great titles im looking forward as Killzone 3, MGS Rising, Twisted Metal (Hell Yeah!!!), MvC 3, Dead Space 2 and more.

3DS was really nic and the launch titles was great!

Kinect was alright.

The stupidest thing I ever seen is Steam support to PS3. Im sorry but the Sony updates already right now is slow and big on certain PS3 titles and now with Steam. Oh boy didnt want to go that root. 

Also I was expecting PSP2 to be there this year but there was nothing which is a pity. 

Overall ups and downs in between.

Maybe Valve are trying to making us forget about EP3 and do that stunt instead.

But seriously there are games that is meant for PC and thats Half Life. Better graphics, Keyboard and Mouse, Mods support, LAN, Online gaming, lots of expansion packs and such that is made for PC.
