Back in the Day... a Wednesday.

Im relatively new here on LO as I only joined when the forum was restarted this year. I know from other forums I ffrequent that all forums have lots of history about them, so I was curious to what LO has written in its history books.

So use this thread to relive old memories, honor the glorious dead or embarrass those still roaming about.

Like for example: What members that arent active anymore used to be quite a h00t or whats with Alucards fixation over fire and why is Satosan constently having to fight for his life?

Biggest Final Fantasy fan I know of, he practically lives in that universe. Can sometimes be found spamming the Members Chat with 5NAKE late in the evenings.

When he was still in Joburg, he ducked and dived to avoid LAN'ing with us.

Was uber active in the local (Durbz) anime-scene back in the day, always organizing anime meetupz. He was the founder of LO's Bleach RP.

Record-holder for the most smilies in one most - think all that shiney yellow might have blinded Alucard that one time.

Crazy-fast typer on GTalk, was near impossible to get a word in.

Alucard and I used to fight a lot on one of the older LO incarnations - even to the point where we each wanted to leave the forum. But we're good now and can look back on that and laugh.

I introduced her to the LO forum around 2 versions back. She's on hell of a Left 4 Dead player - unusual for someone that's addicted to Sims...

As you may have heard before, LO used to be LO Magazine. It was an ePublished anime magazine (long before Otaku Mag) that was included on NAG's cover disc. After a falling out with NAG - not on LO's part, NAG are just short-sighted morons - LO stopped.

Bone, a few others and myself wrote articles, interviewed voice actors and a did a few other things in the magazine. If Bone is up to it maybe he can make the issues available for download?

Oldest mem I remember who has dropped out of sight is trigun - he got me to go to the first of the Pinetown/Durbs meetups back in the day, where I met Kaden, Terix and a lot of the other mad originals. He's a good mate, and I miss hanging out with him talking anime, models etc...

Sakura - she was a journo student (I think) when I first joined. Met her at one of the early Durbs meets as well. She's another good friend and I we were able to meet regularly when I moved to CT. Currently in Japan with her girlfriend. (Am sooooooooo jealous!!!!)

OK, thread Necro time. (Seeing that a few of the originals are coming out of the woodworks)

When I first joined here I thought it was the burning remnants of the long forgotten LO Mag (the actual e-magazine). It is in a way I guess from what Alucard has told me.

So what happened? Did any of you actually work on or contribute to the mag back when it was still running. Who's brain-child was it? Tell me, I want to know.
