Details on the game

On the latest issue of Famitsu magazine more details are leaked on Namco Bandai’s upcoming game Knight Contracts.

It is a multiplatform game that has a sexy heroine with lots of gore and gratuitous violence. The game is set in 1700s Germany and the story focuses upon an evil alchemist named Faust who leads the country into a series of witch hunts. Gretchen is a witch who was executed but before she dies she casts immortality to a mortal man called Heinrich.

Because of his immortality Heinrich is believed to be linked to the witches so he’s a suspect too. He has been chased for centuries which leads to the present when Gretchen is revived. Heinrich agrees to help her get her revenge on Faust in exchange for his mortality returned to him.

But before he can become a normal man again he’s immortal and players can’t die while using him. The game balances this as Gretchen fights alongside with you and if her health depletes then its game over. This does not mean that you have to look out for her all the time as she can support him using her magic.

Heinrich can dispose Faust’s army of Homunculus creatures by using brutal God of War style kills. He has access to many swords and weapons and can even fight bare handed. He will have access to combos as you advance in the game.

The title will be on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and is out sometime in 2011.

If those are in-game graphics, the game looks awesome.

I would be heavy interested, look forward to more news.

Game is only releasing on PS3 and 360

Not planning to get a 360 since both FFXIII and MGS4 are on the PS3.

Was hoping it'll get ported later on, but being a Namco Bandai game maybe not (can't name any PC games released by them). :/
