Heroes: How the mighty have fallen!
« on: May 15, 2010, 01:09:12 PM »
I was thinking of placing this in the You are not allowed to view links.Register or Login
Shows you NEED to watch but were cancelled before their time
thread, but really it was cancelled way after its time. In a nutshell, it was their own fault!

Heroes finally falls

After a roller-coaster ride of ratings, NBC has finally decided to cancel their once ground-breaking series. After 4 seasons, Heroes says good-bye.

Fans (those that are still left) could possibly look forward to a Movie to wrap-up storylines, but nothing has been confirmed and it is quite unlikely imo.

^ :P

Gotta admit, didn't see this coming - even tho it had it's stagnant moments, was hoping they'd change things for the better in the next season. :/

Glad to read that they'll at least be "wrapping it up nicely" for the hardcore-fans out there. 8)

Sad day~ ::)

After a fantastic - no, brilliant first season - the succession of seasons that followed failed to live up to it. Season2 wasn't bad, but season 3 and 4 were awful. Don't get me wrong as each season had a episode or two that was decent,but in the end they couldn't top themselves. It also didn't help the show that their writers and directors were constantly changing.

Like Twin Peaks, Heroes is a show that lost its way.

@NeoN: It said that they may wrap things up in a movie or something, emphasis on the 'may'. You gona have to send them a lot of chocolates/flowers I think.

Hmmm... Unlike for the Seeker series, I don't think I'll be joining ze "rescue mission", but do hope the rest of 'em fans do so we can get that "proper ending". ::)

I won't be joining it either. They could take the easy way out and finish it off with a graphic novel. BTW is anyone still reading the Heroes comics?

Totally forgot about 'em. >_< Used to read it ages ago, but than felt they were too big to DL every issue (esp since I was doing it at work). :P

On a slightly on-topic note, I see I've got a new rank. 8) lol >_<

Haha, nobody noticed that I mis-spelled Heroes in the title. I spelt it: Heores, corrected it {alt}

Like I posted elsewhere, I seriously stopped caring not very far into S4. S1 was brilliant, and even had a mate of mine who is notoriously hard to please, singing its praises. BUT - oh dear, after a hiccupy S2, S3 and S4 were just plain FAIL - good riddance I say.

In a way I’m quite happy with this.

Heroes became progressively worse and Season 3 as abysmal. Sure, there were one or two good episodes in the 4th season, but nothing to save the show.

Let us all remember season 1 and the joy it brought us. The other seasons don’t exist.
