I'll have to get my internet first though.

I currently own the following:

Heavy Rain
Star Ocean Last Hope International
inFamous
Killzone 2
Valkyria Chronicles
Soul Calibur 4

and next week I'll be the proud owner of

Final Fantasy XIII Collectors Edition.

I hope my internet (IBurst) when I get it will be fast enough for online play.

Should be fine. Frostbite played with me online with his 512kpbs line wireless with almost no lag.

@5nake - you have to try Heavy Rain if you have a chance, it's definitely good (in my limited PS3 experience :P). Really a worthy successor of Fahrenheit :). Star Ocean is cool too, especially since they included the Japanese voices, but I'm stuck at the beginning, so need to figure out where I need to go. At least I'm getting my levels and gold :).
Is that GoW Ultimate Edition the one that comes with all the games?
And good to hear, does the PS3 take a lot of cap off while playing online?

Depends which game you play like Resistance 2 with alot of international players does take some cap but when you play just local players it takes between 5-8mb per hour. If you play online with Mics then it def takes more like 20mb an hour.

@5nake - Nice :D, it's definitely a cool box :).

And I finally just read a walkthrough on Star Ocean Last Hope, and I couldn't believe how stupid I was D:. I hate it when the solution was so simple.

That reminds me, I'll need to get Heavy Rain's DLC when I get my internet sorted out.

I'm looking forward to Resonance of Fate next month, though it haven't got a exact date next month yet. And Blazblue is coming out this month, might get the special edition some time later.

And that's really low, I thought it would be much more.

I have my exams coming up in May soon. So I need to put in some serious work. So I won't be doing PSN until after they finish at the end of May.

Quick question: What line speeds do you guys play with? What is needed? I'm talking with regards to COD and the like. I have a 385kbps connection and even with just 6 players there is still a delay. I'm not sure 512kbps will be much better. If only there was a 'gamer' configuration where you can sacrifice download speed for upload speed, I hear that's the real problem for online gaming.

Alright, I'll be speaking from Xbox360 experience here. I've been gaming on a 384Kbps line (no idea if it was shaped or unshaped - but I'll get to that). I found that playing on UK Xbox servers was perfect, but on the US servers there was a severe lag - more than likely to do with the distance from US to RSA.

If you're having an issue the speak to your ISP and ask if you're on a shaped or unshaped account. To quote BlueGeek, a local blog:

Quote from: BlueGeek
South Africa ISPs offer both shaped and unshaped accounts. Now, I won’t go into the technical details on the differences but I will explain it like this:

    * Shaped – this allows a network to have priority to general web surfers (HTTP) and e-mail checking (POP). This is catered towards those that don’t play games on-line or use anything P2P (Peer to peer) related.
    * Unshaped – all network protocols (HTTP, POP, P2P, etc) take priority which is perfect for on-line gaming and torrents. Choose what’s right for you because Shaping can affect the speed on your account depending on what you are doing.

If your ISP only offers shaped then it'll be worth it to upgrade to a 512Kbps line. Even if it's still shaped you'll have a bit more to play with.

Take a look at other ISPs as well. I can recommend MWEB's current uncapped services as they're partially shaped during peak hours (7am - 7pm) and totally unshaped during off-peak hours (7pm - 7am).
