Ok, here I am putting my n00b hat on.

Whats page filing?
And if I have data/media on my Linux OS partition will I be able to read it on the Win7 partition?

Basically virtual memory ad all the cache nonsense that Windows, for example, doesn't trite to the RAM.

Yip you should be able to, unless you're set permissions in the OSs.

Sorry for all the qu's but what size should I make the partitions?
Obviously about 30GB for Win7 and about the same for Ubuntu (I know thats being generous). How much for the page-filing space? Cant both OS's share the page-filing space?

I cannot for the life of me remember if uBuntu page files or not!

I think about 5GB or so? You may need to just Google it to check your needs.

Spoke to Merkaba (resident uBunto goto guy, and former LO member) and he thinks it does page-file, but he's not 100% sure.

Out of personal experience I'm lazy, so I usually just a partition per OS install and leave it at that. So you can do that and it'll work. How much RAM do you have?
